Results of experimental studies of gas permeability of sand samples in the conditions of hydrate saturation and freezing have been presented. The experiments were performed in a special device allowing the evaluation of the gas permeability of wet samples of the dispersed rocks under the gas pressure in the during formation and dissociation of gas hydrates in the pore space, as well as in the process of freezing and thawing of the hydrate bearing sample. In experimental studies it was revealed that the degree of pore water transition in the hydrate influences the parameters of gas permeability in various sand samples. It was demonstrated experimentally in sand and sandy loam rocks that their gas permeability is reduced by 1-2 orders at a given water content (14-18 %) during the transition to 70-80 % of pore water to hydrate. When hydrate bearing samples freeze, their permeability decreases several times due to the freezing processes of residual pore water and the related processes of additional hydrate formation.
