Vortex crystals in optically trapped exciton-polariton condensates

Abstract

We engineer and demonstrate trapped polariton condensate, occupying two states described by Ince-Gaussian modes. The beating of lasing modes leads to rapidly oscillating vortices on a picosecond timescale.
