Abstract

Using the self-consistent LMTO-Green's function method the electronic and magnetic properties of isolated 3d-, 4d-metal impurities in the cubic monocarbides of Sc, Ti, V and Zr were studied. On the basis of the calculations carried out a general model of the electronic states of metallic impurities in cubic interstitial alloys has been proposed.
