The nonlinear problem of thermal and dynamic interaction between a single gas bubble and the liquid surrounding it is considered. Investigations of flows of gas and liquid mixtures, in particular of the propagation of shock waves in such media are related to this problem. Results of a numerical solution of this problem for different conditions of radial movement of the bubble surface are presented. These conditions correspond, in particular, to the behavior of bubbles immediately after the front of a shock wave when the latter enters the bubble curtain, as well as to the behavior of bubbles within the bubble curtain where the wave becomes diffuse.
