Manganite of the Nd0.7Ba0.3MnO3 composition was synthesized from a mixture of Nd 2O 3, Mn 2O 3, and BaCO 3 by mechanochemical treatment followed by isothermal annealing and from a mixture of corresponding nitrates after short-term microwave processing. This procedures were compared with the synthesis of the final phase by the standard solid-state method and by the isothermal annealing of a sample with a microwave prehistory, respectively. It was shown that the microwave processing and grinding in a planetary mill allows us to decrease the time and temperature of synthesis.
