A systematic and general active RC network synthesis procedure for the realization of the hybrid matrix of the N-port is proposed. The network has multiladder structure with grounded capacitors, in which the companion passive part is fixed and the active part is adjusted to a desired matrix function. The method is developed using matrix-continuants and simple matrix manipulations. Two numerical examples of the realization are also given.
