Synthesis of nonlinear functions using continued fraction expansion

Abstract

A realisation of a nonlinear function which can be represented by terminated or truncated continued fraction are given. Two new alternative structures for realisation of nonlinear voltage transfer functions are proposed. The circuits use analogue summers with controlled gains or i.c. multipliers and o.a. summers.
