SHS of intermetallides in selective laser sintering of powder compositions

Abstract

Selective laser sintering (SLS) of powder compositions is investigated. It is shown that the controlled exothermic combustion reaction is possible in the focal point of a Nd-YAG laser, operating in a continuous mode. Laser effect parameters, dispersivity and composition of powder compositions, necessary for SLS fabrication of intermetallic samples, are determined.
