Scattering parameters for cold Li-Rb and Na-Rb collisions derived from variable phase theory

Abstract

The methods for obtaining the scattering phase shift, the s-wave scattering length, and the p-wave scattering volume from Riccati equations derived in variable phase theory were discussed. It was observed that a general expression that provide upper and lower bounds for the scattering length and the scattering volume was also discussed. It was also observed that the corrections were simple and the use of the first-order correction with a moderate value of R c was used to evaluate as and ap. The results show the efficiency of the phase method with Li-Rb and Na-Rb collisions.
