Prominent quasiparticle peak in the photoemission spectrum of the metallic phase of V2O3

Abstract

A prominent EF peak in the PES spectrum of V2O3 in the PM phase, at a temperature somewhat above that of the AFI phase transition was observed. New LDA+DMFT (QMC) theory for a comparable temperature also revealed such a prominent QP peak, generic to the DMFT theory of the Hubbard model near the MIT transition. The quantitative comparison enabled by these two new results reveals significant differences that must be addressed in future work.
