Abstract

This paper is concerned with particle dynamics in centrifugal rotor-impact mills. We propose analytical equations to calculate the optimal blade inclination angle of the mill rotor for two cases: (1) static impact targets and (2) rotating impact targets. In addition, we study the dynamics of the particle and the change in the regime of motion from sliding to pure rolling.
