Photorefractive adaptive transmission system: all optical signal modulation and amplified phase conjugation

Abstract

In this paper we present and analyze a photorefractive system which is based on the combined operation of a strontium barium niobate (SBN) input amplifier and a self-pumped barium titanate (BaTtiO3) phase conjugator crystal. Amplified real-time phase conjugate wavefront generation in this system is demonstrated.
