Abstract

Although mathematical models of power equipment are all well known, the limiting factor in the accuracy of computer simulations is the accuracy of data representing particular pieces of equipment. This paper reports results of parameter estimation of the generator, excitation system and turbine governor models based on the results of load rejection test and off-line step-change in the reference voltage of the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR).
