Abstract

Supersonic axisymmetric flow-around of spherically blunt cones of great length by current of viscous heat-conducting gas within a wide range of the Reynolds numbers is considered. The complete system of equations for viscous shock layer is applied. Economical numerical method based on global iterations is used for solving these system of equations. General effect of the second approximation of the boundary layer theory as well as effect of equilibrium physico-chemical transformations on heat loads for bodies of extended length are indicated.
