The paper numerically investigates the rise of combustion products above large fires in a stratified atmosphere. The effect of the fire area on the height of the rise of combustion products is considered. The structure of convective columns to be formed during the fire studied. It is shown how turbulent stirring processes influence the height of the hovering of the cloud with impurities. The distribution of impurities in a cloud, corresponding to the 20 minute and 60 minute time periods is shown. The radius of nucleation site is equal to 5 km.
