Modified algorithm of the revised simplex method applied to power system state estimation

Abstract

A modification of the revised Simplex method applied to a weighted least-absolute-value state estimation is considered. A large basis matrix is replaced by a much smaller submatrix, so that memory requirements are considerably reduced. The algorithm is presented in detail, together with results of simulation studies which confirmed the good performance of the algorithm.
