Abstract

A study demonstrates the importance of modeling of pressure fluctuations in a wellbore while tripping. The wellbore and the string have constant diameter in the simplified model. The drillstring is partially inside the wellbore, and the wellbore is represented by two sections where the upper section is an annulus between the wellbore and the string, while the lower section is the wellbore below the string. The length of these section changes when the string is moving in or out.
