Magnetic properties and NMR investigations of the Hg-based cuprate Hg-1201

Abstract

Magnetization measurements as well as NMR investigations are performed with powder samples of the nigh -Tc superconductor Hg-1201. Tc, Bc1 and the irreversibility line are determined. In the irreversible region of the phase diagram Bc1(T)63 follows the expected parabolic behaviour, resulting to Bc1](0) = 27 mT for the optimally doped sample. 63Cu NMR spectra obtained using a 14 T pulse spectrometer, allow to determine the shift anisotropies and their temperature dependences. T1 data support a d-wave pairing model.
