Genesis and oil bearing capacity of carbonate rocks of Bazhenov and Abalak formations

Abstract

Carbonate rocks of Abalak and Bazhenov formations have been studied with complex analytical methods. As a result of the research several groups of carbonate rocks have been distinguished. Each group is characterized by special mineralogical composition, genesis, reservoir properties, pore space structure, and oil bearing capacity. Map of thickness of carbonate silicites and silicites which are the best reservoirs within Bazhenov formation, are shown.
