Abstract

Comprehensive studies for a periodic array of gold nanorod pairs demonstrate its unique optical properties, including a negative refractive index in the optical range. A graph is presented. Phase difference in transmission through the layer of pairs of gold rods of Sample A, for light polarized parallel and perpendicular to the rods.
