The low-temperature heat capacity of the ferromagnetic PdFe and antiferromagnetic PdMn having an ordered L10 structure has been studied. The results of theoretical calculations of the electron-energy band structure and the experimental data on the low-temperature heat capacity of the alloys were found to agree well. Possible causes of the formation of an energy gap at the Fermi level observed in the electron band spectrum of the itinerant-electron antiferromagnet PdMn are discussed.
