Conductivity of 1-D CDW at weak impurity pinning and the problem of localization in the presence of interactions

Abstract

The low-frequency dependence of the conductivity of a charge density wave in the presence of weakly backscattering impurities is shown to be the same as the one obtained by Mott and Beresinsky for the case of the 1-D localization: σ(ω) ∼ ω2 In2ω. Implications of this result for the problem of localization in the presence of interactions are discussed.
