The conditions of bulk and layer-by-layer selective laser sintering of cladding - (nickel and brass) and polymeric - (polyamide, polycarbonate, polymethacrylate) based powder compositions were experimentally studied in dependence on their relative volume content and particle sizes in a wide range of Nd-YAG laser beam power (1-16 W) and scanning velocities (4-1220 mm/s). The range of minimal and maximal sintering depths achieved under minimal deformation at one laser beam run was determined.
