Free motion of a dulled body of revolution of large lengthening through a large-scale cloud of heated gas (thermic) floating up in the stratified atmosphere is studied. An efficient numerical method is suggested for determination of a body trajectory that is based on simultaneous solution of the problems of flow and ballistics. The flow problem is solved by a time-saving numerical method based on expansion by small parameter (angle of attack) along with the method of global iterations. The influence of an emerging large-scale cloud of heated gas on body trajectory, orientation and stability is determined. The presence of a floating cloud with reduced density on the body path is shown can lead to body turning- over in some flight regimes.
