Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the activities in the area of bio-materials characterization and imaging at the High Energy X-ray laboratory (HEX-lab) in the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, UK, and at collaborating laboratories. We describe the variety of experimental arrangements in use and present the results pertaining to the structural and mechanical characterization (deformation and stress) across multiple scales of interest, from micro-to meso-to macro-scopic levels.
