Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays exponential growth of the total amount of data stored by humanity leads to the expansion of distributed storage systems. Such systems have a huge amount of geographically distributed servers that give good scalability. The main challenges with such systems are the temporary unavailability of servers due to features of hardware inside them as well as confidentiality issues. In this paper we consider the information-theoretic approach to solve these issues and give possible further research direction in this area.
