Abstract

The crystal formation during aerosol synthesis of nanoparticles is discussed. The structure, size and crystallinity of the nanoparticles are of significant importance. The crystallization affects the local vapor pressure on particle surface during gas to particle conversion. Gas phase synthesis of aerosols and material sciences are being explored taking into account of the crystalline properties.
