A quantum calculation of iodine diffusion cross sections in binary gas mixtures with helium and argon

Abstract

Iodine molecule diffusion cross sections in binary gas mixtures with helium and argon were calculated with the use of the approximation of infinite-order sudden perturbations and empirical intermolecular interaction potentials. In spite of a considerable spread of experimental data, the calculation results can be used to estimate the quality of the model potentials.
