Research interests

Dr. Victoria Nikitina received her Ph.D. from the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Galina Tsirlina and Prof. Renat Nazmutdinov. During her Ph.D. studies, Dr. Nikitina took part in multidisciplinary international collaborations with Prof. R. Buchner, Regensburg University, as a DAAD scholar and Prof. Th. Wandlowski, Bern University.

In 2014-2018 Dr. Nikitina held postdoctoral appointments at MSU (Department of Electrochemistry) and at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Center for Energy Science and Technology). Her research interests involve the kinetics and thermodynamics of energy storage and conversion devices, including metal-ion intercalation, electrocatalytic reactions and single-entity electrochemistry. Her current research projects at Skoltech are focused on high-power low-temperature lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries as well as on the development of electroanalytical tools for the battery performance diagnostics. Another area of research concerns the implementation of nanoelectrochemical methods for the single particle-level investigation of materials for energy storage. Victoria received funding from RFBR and RSF to support her research. Since 2019, Dr. Nikitina is Assistant Professor at CEST.
